The JCRC was organized for the educational and recreational use of model aircraft. The JCRC's goal is to bring new people into the hobby of building, learning about, and flying model aircraft and training new members to fly model aircraft, along with providing an opportunity to enjoy the hobby of aero modeling and have fellowship with other modelers.

This objective is met with the promotion of growth and participation by:

• Stimulating interest among the general public
• Instructional activities
• Assisting in the art, design, construction, and flying of model aircraft
